Originally certified by the U.K. Guild of Sommeliers, Mark began his culinary career working as Sommelier and Beverage Manager at some of Vancouver and Whistler’s most renowned establishments.  Mark was certified by the International Sommelier Guild in 2002.

Mark opened Cru restaurant in July of 2003.  Awarded the title Sommelier of the Year in 2004, he judges wine for various competitions and sits on the Planning Committee and the Winery Selection Committee for the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival, North America’s largest consumer wine event.  You will find Mark working most lunches and dinners at his award-winning Cru.
